It’s the second day of November. Can you believe it? I’m trying to wrap my mind around the fact that snow is on its way and the holiday season is upon us. And it blows my mind that the election is next week. Wow. If you’re anything like me, once January 1st rolls around you’re left wondering where the holidays went (and feeling a little guilty that you didn’t appreciate/enjoy them more). This season I want to make an effort to pause. To recognize the beauty around me (Christmas lights are the best). To be more grateful, more gracious, and more grounded.

  • I love the idea of creating a Gratitude Calendar. Something tangible to remind you of your blessings each and every day.
  • One of my goals this year (and will be next too!) is to give more. I need to stock up on some great gift wrapping essentials.
  • I’ve been in need of some pumping up and encouragement lately. I think I might gift myself with this amazing webinar to kick off the winter business-building mode.
  • I can’t let you go without sharing this gorgeous Father-of-the-Bridesque backyard glam wedding on A Crimson Kiss. Backyard glam, love it.

Lastly, this may sound a little silly to you but bear with me for a sec. Last weekend Cory and I drove to Detroit for Game 4 of the World Series. I’ve been a lifelong Giants fan and lover of baseball (as you know from this post). I never in a million years thought that I’d be able to see a World Series game–it’s was one of those lofty goals on my Mighty List that I thought would always be there. But now it’s crossed off, you guys. And it was one of the most incredible experiences. It got me thinking about all the other incredible experiences in my life which got me thinking, again, about gratitude. So, today I encourage you to think back on your most important memories, pause, and be thankful for them. And never, ever underestimate the possibilities life has to offer.

Yes! I hope we see you at the webinar and Christmas lights are my favorite too. I am trying to convince Ari to let me decorate NOW : )
